About beauty

No I've been contemplating for a very long while, a more than reasonable while, I should say, about whether I should start my own makeup and beauty blog.
The reason was one and simple. I am not a beauty. I do not have the perfect skin. I never did. Why would I be doing this, then?
The reason is also one and simple. I love makeup. I always did. It makes me feel good when I do mine or a client's makeup. It's like a relaxation/therapy session. All the planets are aligned in that one perfect order, time does not fly by it flows around me as I bask in the aromas and textures of my creams and all my beauty products.

It's got nothing to do with being shallow. Each person has a hobby or two; each person has something that relaxes them or makes them feel good.
I do not judge people. I do not think that people who don't use makeup are less or more because of their choices. I also don't think that people who do use makeup are, as mentioned above, shallow or whatnot. As I said, to each their own.

But, there's this category of people, of which I'm a part. Those people who like to do something but aren't certain that society would approve without a frown on its face.

I'm sure there are many women and men who are far from that perfect image we're shown every day in the media (magazines, TV, internet, etc). I'd go even as far as to say that no one is as what's portrayed in the media. There is no perfect face or body.

As such, I find myself welcoming with arms wide open, the idea that anyone can be and is beautiful. Makeup is not only a tool that helps enhance some of those features, or all of them, that either one of us is proud of, but also a way to express oneself.

We could discuss a lot about this topic which is why I invite each one of you, my dear readers, to tell me your opinion about makeup and beauty.
